It's Camp Au-Some time at Brigadoon!!! And the Annapolis Valley Chapter has 3 spots reserved for families to attend this great get-away on the weekend of May 26/27/28th.
Camp Au-some is for families with a child, youth or adult with autism to enjoy a weekend together at beautiful Camp Brigadoon on Aylesford Lake in the Annapolis Valley. This camp, organized by Autism Nova Scotia - Halifax, is all-inclusive and features valuable information sessions and fun camp activities for parents, siblings, and campers with autism. Each family will have their own room within one of Brigadoon’s lovely cabins to share together at night.
The Valley Chapter will be offering ONE of its three available spots for FREE via a lottery draw. If you're interested in this spot please email Sandy at email@example.com with the following info:
* Your name and contact info
* The name(s) and age(s) of your family member(s) with autism
* The number of people in your family who will be attending the retreat (maximum 5)
Please send us your info by 4:00pm on Monday, February 27th. We will make the draw by noon on Tuesday, February 28th. (*If you received a sponsored spot in 2015 or 2016 you will not be eligible to enter this year's lottery).
Families will also be able to register for the two remaining Valley spots. Each spot will cost $400 which must be paid by families. On-line registration for these two spots will open on the Autism Nova Scotia website http://autismnovascotia.ca/program/16 on Monday, March 6th.
