Community Health Board Funding

Wednesday, February 7 2018 - Wednesday, February 14 2018

Autism Centre, 565 Main St., Kingston, NS

The Annapolis Valley Chapter of Autism Nova Scotia recently received Wellness Inititiative grant funding from our Valley Community Health Boards: $1,080 from each of our five local CHBs: Kingston/Greenwood Community Health Board, Central Kings Community Health Board, Eastern Kings Community Health Board, Western Kings Community Health Board and Annapolis Community Health Board.  For an amazing total of $5,400 in support of the Chapter's adapted swim program!

Throughout the coming year, this funding will allow the Chapter, in partnership with the aquatics department at CFB-14Wing Greenwood, to provide private swim lessons for 30+ children, teens and adults with autism.  We would like to thank the Annapolis Valley Community Health Boards not only for their very generous help with this project but also for their assistance with a significant number of additional Chapter initiatives over the last four years. We truly appreciatate this continued support!
